Skyrocketing My Blog To Success

This post has affiliate links in it. The opinion in expressed in it are mine alone.

This past weekend I was finally able to open up Skyrocket Blog Pagesviews Using Google Analytics by Kelli Miller & Crystal VanTassel-Lopez. Once I made sure that I had Google Analytics installed properly, (at first I thought it I installed it wrong) the reality of the lack of my blogs success was staring me right in the face. Thankfully I have the tools now to change this.

For the next 34 days I will be eating, breathing and dreaming about Skyrocket content.

The Issue

My bounce rate is 95% which means hardly anyone stays on my blog to read it. The first thing I need to do is lower that number by attracting more people to my site. I need to do this by upping my social media presence.

Skyrocketing My Blog To Success

The Solution

During the month of April I have come up with a plan to make positive changes for this blog. On Office Online I made up a daily check list to keep up with all these new improvements. Each week you can join me back here to find out what has worked and what I am still struggling with.

Joining Facebook Groups

Up until this past weekend I did not belong to any type of blogging group on Facebook. The thing is I have been blogging for 4 years now! I have sent out request to 5 groups and just waiting for approval.

Bloggers wanted

Tribe Mates Wanted

For the majority of my blogging career I have basically not had a tribe but as of know that is going to change. I am looking for 5-6 fallow bloggers to become tribe mates with. We would be helping each other grow our blogs by guest posting, sharing material on each others blogs and cross promoting each other through social media.

Graphics & Post

I am still planning to keep to posting 3 days a week but I am going to up my graphics. Up until now I have just winged the graphic area of blogging but know I am going to plan out 50 percent of my graphics for the week. This will allow me the time I need to give them the detail they deserve.

Learn To Blog Hangouts Video’s

My goal is to watch one new Learn To Blog Hangouts video’s a day to help educate myself on things. To expand my reader’s I am going to have to learn new ways of doing things.

Skyrocket Blog Pageviews Using Google Analytics

As I said earlier I am making my way through this book. Each section of this book has task to complete and I will be implementing them into my day-to-day blogging life. You can check out Day one of the course at The SITS Girls Site to see why this book caught my eye.

I’m excited to announce that I have joined the affiliate program for this book. For more information please click here . If you are also in a rut with your blog I encourage you to join me on this adventure!

  1. Candice, I am glad I came across this article. It looks like something I really need. I am going to purchase this book and start improving my blog. Thank you for posting this.

  2. Hi, how good of you to make a daily checklist to improve your following.
May I make a suggestion? Maybe it’s a good idea to run a spelling checker on your text before publication.
It makes your text easier to read.

  3. I LOVED and learned so much from Kelli and Crystals Learn TO Blog series they hosted on Google+ Hangouts. I have debated purchasing their e-book to get my stats even better. I’m glad to hear you are seeing success from their book. Thanks for sharing over on Inspire Me Monday. Have a great week!!
