Being Thankful

This past weekend here in Canada, and today many families stop and celebrate being thankful. This holiday is one of my favourite because it makes me really think about this past year and the things I have been blessed with.

On Sunday we bundled up the kids and head to the farm to share Thanksgiving with my parents.  As we head out-of-town you can see the change of season. The leaves are turning reds, yellows and oranges.

It made me reflect on how lucky we are to live in such a breathtaking world. It’s gorgeous! I am very thankful for living in such a beautiful country.

Psalm 1004 FB

This verse is a great reminder to give thanks to God and praise him. I am very thankful that I live in a country that I can openly praise, and worship him. I am thankful that I can take my bible into a coffee shop and read it.

I am thankful for The Hubby. He has supported me as a person in this last year. It hasn’t been easy with all the craziness around Lilly’s medical care and other life stuff but he always encourages me to be the best of who I am.

I am thankful for a church community and the support they have given us. The friends who take a moment to listen to us. The many prayers people pray for us as a family.

I am thankful for God providing for us through out the year. That our bellies are full, we have a house over our head and that he has been beside us each and every day.

How about you? What are you thankful for?

  1. I’m just thankful for every day that the Lord gives me here on earth. Helping to spread his message as a Shepherd for Global Media Outreach, helps me to let others know about His love. I am so thankful that one day we will be up there in heaven with Him! 🙂
