Hello lovely readers! I am so excited to tell you about a new series that is coming to the blog starting Friday. As in this Friday! It’s called Financial Friday. How did this all come about?
By sharing yesterdays highlighted post 5 Reasons To Find Financial Peace on my personal Facebook page with the caption “Would you be interested in taking a financial course?”
Ends up 3 friends showed interest. I found a Dave Ramsey’s Life Money Legacy, A 5 part sermon series on Right Now Media.
The Hubby and I watched sermon 1 and we liked it. Together we have decided to take the challenge of doing a Dave Ramsey series and figuring out a way to lead a group of friends.
The issue we have is…we live 30 min from where all our friends. Plus our friends all have young kids, (just like us,) and crazy schedules, (just like us.)
Finding a day and place to host a group is tricky.
The Hubby suggested that I write out my thoughts on the blog as one way people can keep up with what we are studying! (Isn’t he smart!)
And that is how Financial Friday came about.
Now today I am talking about something that I struggle a lot with….
A Financial Budget.
Since deciding to become a financial advisor, (another story for another post) I have been trying to implement a Budget. I have tried to use an APP system. That was a bust.
Than there was the black and white, very traditional planner, (made good fire starter instead.)
Ends up just like my prayer journal, and homeschooling journal I need colour and creativity in my budget making process.
I found that through free print outs that other bloggers have made!
My favourite system is by Erin from My Frugal Home. This is what you will find in my Finances Binder from Erin:
I also got a Daily Expense Tracker & Monthly Calendar from Pinch A Little Save A Lot’s Financial Plan Bundle.
But I did run into a slight issue. I couldn’t find a Homeschooling Expense Sheet or a Special Needs Budget Sheet that I liked. In the end I made my own up. My system a work in process but I am sure it will be well worth it!
Now my challenge to you before Friday is to put together a Financial Binder for your family!
